Men can be close—very close, like brothers, and even closer than brothers. Deep down, all men long for this brotherhood. It's because we need each other. We need other men who get it. We were not meant to fight this fight alone.

Absolutely heartbreaking to hear the pain in his voice. We have to do more for each other. Thank you to my friends at @WarriorsHeart22 for all they do for our heroes. I pray he is healing. It’s ok and BRAVE to ask for help! warriorsheart.com

This is tough to watch. Any brothers any time reach out (and hats off to this hero cop. They get such a bad rap.)

I work for an org. called @MightyOaksFDN which provides faith-based (Christian) peer2peer resiliency support retreats and aftercare/biblical counseling for veterans, first responders, & their spouses. If you know anyone that needs help, have them apply at: Mightyoaksprograms.org

The only encouragement that some men get is from a stranger on the side of a highway, while on hold with the VA suicide line. The only way they'll get a hug. That's our society. I don't know how we fix that, but somehow we need to.

Him saying he can't afford the ambulance should shame the entirety of America.
