The health department sent me to the local ER yesterday. It was the only way in the county to be tested for #monkeypox. Between wait and in-room time, the whole ordeal took 6.5 hours. Regardless of outcome, this is the wrong way to manage 4 swabs of 2 lesions.
The first known case of human-to-dog #monkeypox transmission, has been documented in the medical journal, The Lancet. The dog caught it from its owners, a non-monogamous gay couple in Paris. The greyhound developed an anal ulceration & mucocutaneous lesions.
