Lots of Rovers fans saying it’s the wrong move for Ash Phillips. Wonder how many would turn it down if it was them.

I don't begrudge anyone moving on, I just don't think it will be good for his career - at least in the short/medium term. But at the end of the day, he needs to do what feels right for him.

Clearly there’s risk for him, but I think it would be hard to turn down a club like Tottenham, especially if he believes in his own ability.

If he is Djed Spence, you have to go. And maybe get a loan somewhere else. But a lad who has played 3 senior games and now starting in the championship, at 17, to move to a top four club is ludicrous. He will play League One or Under 23s.

In all honesty I think I would. At 17 he has broken into the first team and his stock is rising quicker than a hovis. Ok so he could get more money but in 2 or 3 seasons if he keeps progressing then the world is at his feet…
