Live export ship Nine Eagle leaves Darwin with cattle two weeks after major engine failure.
Cattle unloaded from the ship were just loaded back on and treated as things. Multiple loadings/unloadings = more stress. ๐ข

Andrew Wilkie moved an amendment to the Inspector-General of Live Animal Exports Amendment (Animal Welfare) Bill 2023.
It calls for the govt to legislate a ban on sheep & cattle sent live export by sea within 6 months and that the ban be fully implemented within 3 years. ๐
