A group of community members have come together with the @nxwestmidlands drivers to make sure they are well fed on the picket line. ❤️ While the public are upset due to lack of service most understand the fight the drivers are going through for better pay.

Tik Tok removed our Iraq War video for "violating community guidelines" @tiktok_uk reasons: "illegal activities & regulated goods" & "violent & graphic content" that "glorify violence" Video is neither. it's a historic account of an illegal war. History should never be censored

Poor leadership? 4 of the last 6 Met Police commissioners were rewarded with a seat in the Lords after they stood down (Sir Paul Condon, Sir John Stevens, Sir Ian Blair & Sir Bernard Hogan-Howe) Sir Paul Stephenson never got one & Dame Cressida Dick is still waiting/hoping.

As an East London teenager I watched the Met police smash the heads of trade unionists at Wapping. It's a lesson I've never forgotten.

Between 2018-2020, the Met Police strip searched 650 children, & in 25% of cases, there was no appropriate adult present (e.g. the childs parent or carer). Over half of the kids strip searched were black The Met police isnt fit for purpose. It should be scrapped (clip from 2022)

Starmer really needs to account for why he was backing Cressida Dick until the last. How can people have faith he will "lead police reform" when he emphatically backed the previous commissioner, despite her being in complete denial that there was a problem?
I want to thank Baroness Casey for her report which is tough but essential reading. The scale of change required is vast, but as I witnessed in Northern Ireland, it can be done. My Labour government will lead police reform.

Looking forward to him explain how in a career of closely dealing with the Met he never noticed it was institutionally racist, homophobic or misogynist. Unfortunately no one in the media will ask him.
