Pablo Mari's loan move to Monza has now been confirmed. The Italian side have an obligation to buy, based on them avoiding relegation and Mari making a certain amount of appearances this season. Total deal, if he does sign permanently, will be worth around £6m.

Mikkel Damsgaard to Brentford is an exciting move that just feels right. The man who replaced Eriksen in the Denmark team last year, signed to replace Eriksen again. Brentford were willing to shelve the usual strategy to keep Eriksen — this is much more like their normal approach

Both of these moves now confirmed. Five-year deals for both players. Thomas Frank on Damsgaard: "Mikkel is, in my opinion, another classic Brentford signing. He is a young player with big potential to develop further. We know we can help Mikkel reach his highest level"

A big piece on Spurs supremo Fabio Paratici: - Introducing 'big club' culture - Promoting Levy's brother in law - "Phenomenal" work to keep Kane - Working the transfer market (includes recognition I was wrong on Kulu and Bentancur signings) #thfc telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Arsenal outgoings gathering pace: Pablo Mari is heading to Monza on loan with obligation to buy if they avoid relegation (h/t @FabrizioRomano). Runarsson is set for a loan move to Turkey. These aren't big £££ but it's an important step as Arsenal clear space for possible signings

Always good to hear from Granit Xhaka. Group of us had the chance to speak to him last week, about “building something very special” under Arteta, being one of the elder statesmen in the team and wanting Arsenal fans to come to training. telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Must admit I wasn’t particularly impressed by the first two episodes of All or Nothing. But the third one was much better, and the next three have some fascinating moments. There’s more on the Auba situation than I expected: telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Damsgaard could be a really exciting addition to the Premier League. Injury issues last season might have put off a few "bigger" clubs but Brentford are never afraid to take a calculated risk on a player.

So much talk about how Haaland will adapt to Manchester City, but yesterday's win at West Ham was far more about City adapting to him. Change of shape in the middle (full-backs) and a definite change of pace in attack. Pretty scary for everyone else telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Supreme off-the-ball explosiveness + quality service = goals goals goals. How on earth do you stop that? It was the same for the penalty in the first half. Once he takes off, he’s gone.

Aleksandar Mitrovic was brilliant today. Not many players cause so many problems for Van Dijk. The accusation that he can’t cut it in the PL isn’t really fair — he hardly played under Scott Parker (weird decision imo) and scored 11 goals in 18/19 #FFC telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

Now a Premier League goal scorer…
There are very few footballers like Kieffer Moore, and very few stories as compelling as his rise to the top division. The former lifeguard & personal trainer who became an international star and PL striker — now with his 12th club. Exclusive interview: telegraph.co.uk/football/202…

This Darwin Nunez looks like a proper predator. The power off the ball, the aggression of the running, the wide-eyed energy.

Alexander-Arnold on the goal: obviously could have done better, but also I can't think of many full-backs who would have been able to handle a full-steam-ahead Mitro attacking the back post like that. That's a position you really do not want to be in as a defender.

Really impressive opening 40 minutes from Fulham. Joao Palhinha (£17m from Sporting Lisbon) looks an excellent signing in midfield. #FFC

Fulham lead at Craven Cottage. Tete's cross attacked by Mitrovic at the back post. Mitrovic all over Alexander-Arnold, who hardly got off the ground

Love this place. Love the first weekend of a new season. Firmino starts ahead of Nuñez for Liverpool. New signings Leno, Duffy, Solomon and Mbabu on the bench for Fulham.
