Kieran McKenna turns 37 today. He’s revitalised Ipswich and it’s hard to think of a brighter managerial prospect. Interview on convincing the squad they could do it his way, early life in his family’s Fermanagh hotel, and post-promotion donkey rides theguardian.com/football/202… #ITFC

Happy anniversary! An attempt to understand why it went so wrong for Chelsea’s new owners * No sporting structure when they arrived * Regrets over Tuchel and Potter * Why it took so long to appoint Pochettino * Special mention to a toy Lamborghini theguardian.com/football/202…

If just a couple of the sides that flopped this year get their acts together then next season’s Championship is going to be absolutely insane. Quality & size of promoted/relegated clubs greater than usual, has makings of an epic free-for-all.

Luton the most unlikely arrival to PL in memory but also the most welcome - beaten the odds, and clubs that get/make far more fuss, through sheer hard work, skill & good management. A standard bearer for the best of the Football League & offer hope to all that the door isn’t shut

Here’s how Kryvbas celebrated their win over Metalist in their last home game of the season The club’s Ultras stood behind the cut outs of their fellow fallen friends on their usual fans terraces Then they lit flares behind each of the cut outs to create a moving tribute 🔥🕯️

Wrexham story is great and all that but would have thought they can congratulate themselves without making completely invalid, fact-free comparisons with other clubs.
Disappointing from Oli Palmer throwing shade on Ed Sheeran compared to Rob/Ryan. 'What has he done for Ipswich.' He's a sponsor not an owner. The owners do amazing stuff in the community and his money greatly helps that. Misinformed unfortunately. #itfc @BenFoster

On a warm mid-May evening, Arsenal’s title pretensions were finally lost in the forest: it was the Tricky Trees who handed Manchester City the most bloodless of triumphs while guaranteeing their own survival. By @NickAmes82 theguardian.com/football/blo…

Aaron Ramsdale: ‘Some people are saying it and forgetting that other teams have had the same experience. We let them worry about that, get views and people listening to them. We are disappointed but extremely proud of ourselves as well.’ By @NickAmes82 theguardian.com/football/202…

Aaron Ramsdale on "bottling" accusations and plenty more. "This narrative of ‘bottled it’, I think it is an easy way out. It’s just a quick, cheap narrative from certain people who have not actually gone digging into stories of what we’ve achieved" theguardian.com/football/202… #AFC

"The referees are all from Greater Manchester!!!!!!!" reaches its logical conclusion.
🔺 BREAKING: Manchester City have lodged legal challenges against the Premier League’s 115 charges for alleged rule breaches, disputing the involvement of the barrister who is in charge of the disciplinary process because he is an Arsenal fan thetimes.co.uk/article/manch…
