An outstanding @TrademarkBF fringe in Liverpool this evening, firmly focused on building socialism in the face of constitutional change.

I love the way people drive in Liverpool. Cars on pavements, blocked roads and “kerb, mate? Don’t worry about it”. I’m very at home here.

Four years almost to the day since this was taken (thanks @comrade_enby), we’ve just finished delivering this year’s Leo Panitch Programme. I’m beyond proud to have facilitated it, and I know Leo would have been very proud of the activists on HIS programme.

Watching the Labour Files on Al Jazeera. Excellent journalism. As for what it shows: sickening, stomach-turning stuff. But stuff every Party member should see. Watch it.

This is yet another abuse of process by Starmer's Labour. Naomi was elected by members just weeks ago, but the Labour machine has wasted no time in working to undermine party democracy. This is wrong on principle.
I've received a Notice of Allegation and Administrative Suspension from @UKLabour. The charge - I "committed a Prohibited Act contrary to Chapter 2, Clause I.5.B of the Rule Book" by speaking at an event run by proscribed organisations in September last year. @G5for_nec 1/3

On GMB and Fracking. The fact is GMB have long supported policies antithetical to those of the climate movement, as have many TUs. The point is that shouldn’t - and thankfully so far hasn’t - informed the climate movement’s rock solid support for workers in struggle.

Solidarity cannot be conditional. That said, I think the statement is appalling. But, the argument on fracking has been won in the past and it will be won again - whilst standing side by side with workers and the unions who represent them.

Someone should tell Kay Burley St Mirren aren’t in the champions league. Someone should tell Ian Blackford to get off his knees.
"If you hate the Royal Family clap your hands" Celtic fans held up anti-monarchy banners and chanted during a Champions League game last week. We asked the SNP's @Ianblackford_MP for his reaction 👇👇 #KayBurley wx

Looks like people won’t pay subs for capital’s milquetoast B-team. Who knew?
Labour NEC told today that membership is down to 401,000 from 415,000 in July. And excluding those in arrears, paid up membership is down from 382,000 to 373,000.

Prime exhibit: Labour friends of planetary collapse.
🚨 BREAKING 🚨 Labour's CAC has rejected our appeal to get a socialist Green New Deal rooted in public ownership on the agenda at Conference. Party bureaucracy is being used to shut down debate and marginalise the policies we need to confront the climate and economic crises. 🥀

The world's worst polluters continue to amass astronomical profits while the poorest pay the price. Climate change is a class issue. One that Labour should be leading on. Genuine technical issues with motions can be resolved, but ignoring climate change is not an option.

Every step taken to prevent a socialist green new deal is a step toward planetary collapse. If the Labour Party isn’t at the forefront of battling the climate crisis, we’re nowhere.

With the burial of Elizabeth II, republic status calls countries in West Indies (Antigua and Barbuda & Jamaica). Even settler-colonial New Zealand’s @jacindaardern says her country’s monarchism will ‘evolve’. Judging by the TV coverage, wonder when the US will become a republic..
