Happy we covered this important @csjthinktank research on @GBNEWS Households on energy per-payment meters and reliant on expensive, even exploitative forms of credit are seeing their already marginal living standards fall particularly sharply during this cost-of-living crisis.
“The CSJ's research shows that poor households pay more for basic goods than the rest of us. These charges cost vulnerable families around £500 a year. £500 they can ill afford” @LiamHalligan 📚 Read our report produced in partnership with @VirginMoney👉centreforsocialjustice.org.u…

The 1970s-style "winter of discontent" some of us predicted months ago is now upon us. We're in a cost-of-living/cost-of-lockdown squeeze even worse than that which sparked the most economically and politically fractious period in UK's post-war history. telegraph.co.uk/business/202…

ULEZ and LTNs are gentrification. Who drives a car to work? Not Hugo the banker. Not Guardian columnists or mansplaining eco-wonks. Not the mum whose nanny takes Daisy Boo to school in Islington. It's electricians, plumbers, deliverymen/women. We're bankrupting low-income workers

Really love your pods. I'm a millennial like Charlotte so could relate. I'd love to start a family but renting makes that impossible. I work hard and still can't afford to buy anywhere. I don't have parents to rely on either. What hope do I have and why would I vote Tory?

You think the highest marginal rate of income tax in the UK is 45%. You are wrong. @John_Stepek and I have been bickering about this. Turns out the answer is not 62% and not 71%. It is 77%. You can now stop wondering why we have a productivity problem bloomberg.com/news/newslette…
