During Covid, Apple demanded our apps filter some search terms from being returned. If we did not filter the terms, our apps would not be allowed in the store. Apple may make good products, but they have been opposed to free speech for some time.

Apple disallowed almost anything related to Covid, especially vaccines or human origins of the virus. We had to build a list of over 20 terms to not show results for, only on Apple devices. Apple also later rejected us because users included Pepe images in videos.

When Covid started Youtube would penalize YouTubers without warning if they even said the word Covid. To this day you will get dinged if you refer to 9/11. True story.

What were the search terms? Were they racial slurs, for example? Some brands, believe it or not, don't want that association. Not a deal-breaker for Mr. Musk, of course.

A private company or individual can become a de facto government agency if the government is assisting or directing the activities of said private company/individual. Example: police using a CI in an investigation. There are strict rules in these cases for a reason.

Apple is a private company and is allowed to determine what content is allowed on its platform. Same with android.

Thank you. That's what I've been trying to tell people. That iPhone you paid $1,000 for isn't yours. It belongs to Apple and they let you use it at their pleasure.
