Public Interest and Human Rights Lawyer | Enemy of Oppressors | Litigation | I am committed to ending corruption and injustice. HISTORY WILL VINDICATE THE JUST.
I am back, stronger and more determined to confront the forces of oppression and to continue to speak nothing but the hard truth to the faces of the oppressors of our people. I feel sorry for those who thought they can break my spirit by incarcerating me.
Why are people so wicked?
People have been sharing these two Facebook posts, which purports to show that my quote which was falsely credited to Okadigbo, existed before June 6, 2017 when I authored it.
Attached are evidence that these posts were edited and the quote inserted.
Let the true owner of the inspired quote @InibeheEffiong be duly acknowledged. These words are, and will remain, for all times, as one of the most consequential quotes in, and for, Nigeria. It is actually universal.
I will credit anyone that can present any credible and verifiable proof, that it was Okadigbo who authored this quote, or that it existed before June 6, 2017 with N200,000.
It’s disgusting how many insist on a lie because they believe I’m too young to have said these words. Sad!
This is the full version of the falsehood that people have been circulating. You can see here that @THISDAYLIVE used a full page in January 2020 to publish my June 6, 2017 quote, which FFK falsely credited to Okadigbo. Thisday stated here that they culled it “from the internet”.
This quote is often mis-attributed to Dr. Chuba Okadigbo, however the correct attribution should be to @InibeheEffiong
Pls everywhere you see this quote wrongly credited, correct the person. Give to Ceasar what is his, & to Inibehe, what is his👊

I conducted an extensive search online regarding the quote and here are my findings:
1. @InibeheEffiong authored the quote on Tuesday, 6 June 2017.
2. The Nation Newspapers, on 22 Thursday, June 2017, copied the quote verbatim but wrongly ascribed it to Dr. yusuf Bala Usman.
I will credit anyone that can present any credible and verifiable proof, that it was Okadigbo who authored this quote, or that it existed before June 6, 2017 with N200,000.

2013. Wrote an OP-ED, 'Dino and the New Activism'. Excerpts of it was later lifted by Ayourb, passed off as his intellectual property. I sent him a DM to delete the lifted bits that he used without authorial credit and I further asked a follower to do an e-flyer of the excerpts

Those who are interested in the truth should ask both @DailyPostNGR and @realFFK to substantiate their claims here. This is the Daily Post publication of October 23, 2017 where my quote was falsely credited to Okadigbo. My Facebook post with the popular quote was on June 6, 2017.
For the stubbornly ignorant people online that have been sharing the attached newspaper publication in their attempt to prove that my quote belongs to Okadigbo, I’m presenting to you here, a complete version of the publication. It’s a falsehood by @THISDAYLIVE in January 2020.
In January 2020, my attention was drawn to the fact that a full page of Thisday Newspaper was dedicated to my popular quote. I was upset, but I didn’t take legal action because of my relationship with the Nigerian media. Look at the full page that I have shared. Check the date.
From the date, you will see that it was published in January 2020 by Thisday Newspaper. Another very important point to note is that Thisday clearly stated that they culled this quote from “the internet. This makes nonsense of any claim that Okadigbo authored the quote.
There is no trace of this publication on the internet prior to June 6, 2017 when I published and authored it on my Facebook account.
@realFFK shamelessly plagiarized my quote, and attributed it to Okadigbo. @DailyPostNGR decided to publish the falsehood on October 23, 2017.
Despite reaching out to the editor and the reporter (Ifreke Inyang) at Daily Post who popularized this falsehood, and availing them with evidence to show that what they published was false, they simply kept mute and refused to correct their error. Other media took it from there.
Those who have been sharing this publication, which they claim looks old, should admit their error and be sensible. If after seeing this, and you persist in your ignorance, then there’s nothing that I can do.
I’ve repeatedly shared the link to my Facebook post of June 6, 2017.
Why can't you people be rational in research. @InibeheEffiong's statement was made 6th June, 2017. @realFFK lifted his statement with wrong attribution on 23rd October, 2017. El-Rufai followed with another wrong attribution to Bala Usman and you're here disputing what's settled?
