OTD in 1977, Ted Templeman returned to Starwood Club with WBR CEO Mo Ostin in tow to see a band called Van Halen. Ted had quietly watched VH perform the night prior and loved band. On this second night, Mo & Ted offered VH WB recording contract. The rest is history.

.@marshallberle made the call to Ted, telling him about VH. Ted has told me over & over that if pretty much anyone other than Marshall had tried to convince him to see VH, he would’ve passed on going to club, but he knew Marshall had a eye and ear for talent. So he went.
