It’s World Reef Awareness Day! 🐠🦈🐋
📍 You’ve heard about the #GreatBarrierReef, but what about another exceptional and biologically diverse reef known as Scott Reef - located more than 300 kilometres northwest of Western Australia?!
Yet this whole area is under threat from @WoodsideEnergy's Burrup Hub, which would see this pristine paradise subjected to seismic blasting, pipelaying, gas drilling - and climate change. And we can't let that happen. ❌😡
#WhalesNotWoodside
Scott Reef is an ‘offshore’ coral reef system that rises from the depths of Australia’s continental shelf.
It supports more than 300 species of reef-building corals, 700 fish species & aggregations of migrating whales, whale sharks & nesting marine turtles - to name a few. 💙
In a new report on global carmakers, #Toyota have been ranked LAST for their lack of "strategic vision" on electric vehicles.
Are we surprised? No - and here's why. Thread/

Toyota continues to put profit ahead of the health of Australians, and our precious environment.
Today we learned that Toyota executives aren’t even being incentivised to shift to electrification.
Toyota is a powerful player within the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (@FCAI_Au).
The @smh reported earlier this week that the FCAI has been driving a co-ordinated lobbying campaign to limit emissions cuts from vehicles and to downplay the role of electric vehicles.
As the transition to electric vehicles accelerates, Toyota and other slow-movers risk being left behind.

✊The right to peaceful protest is fundamental to #democracy. Many of the freedoms and rights we cherish as Australians were won and defended through peaceful protest. The SA Parliament must withdraw its #antiprotest Bill. #ProtectProtest
This is running in the paper in South Australia today. We're calling on the SA Parliament to withdraw its anti-protest Bill.
We’re in solidarity with the 80 civil society organisations who signed on, calling for the same. #ProtectProtest
The Kimberley is already experiencing the impacts of climate change, with unprecedented floods this year. Greenpeace stands with communities across the Kimberley urging companies like Woodside and Buru to walk away from new gas proposals in the Kimberley.
