Chris - you've captured a couple of WT Ellison & Co #turnstiles ! Right - oldest, prob early 20th C with lovely decorative cast iron fender bars. Left - later post-war model with much cleaner lines. We have 4 @WorkingtonAFC - I operated one for the @thesilkmen game yesterday

I know we didn't do it when the #southendhoppers visited @WorkingtonAFC - But we now include our old turnstiles in each groundhopper visit to Borough Park. Every hopper gets to be a #turnstile operator and click each other into the ground. Also another great photo opportunity.

Thank you @RuncornLinnets - rival fans coming together is sadly often ugly & intimidating. But today - a shining example of how it should be everywhere. No violence, just BOTH sets of fans standing side by side, enjoying the game in a super friendly atmosphere. @WorkingtonAFC

Anatomy of a turnstile 1/2 - from @WorkingtonAFC visit to @ClitheroeFC - Jan 2 2023. Fine matching pair of R & B.M. Mayor (of Machester) turnstiles, painted in battleship grey. Located at entrance to neat and tidy Shawbridge ground. Believed fromerly @BlackpoolFC Bloomfield Road

Like more common Ellison or Bailey turnstiles - the Mayors have counting mechanism set into front of table top. But hidden below larger brass nameplate. Wings or arms are curved on top yet straight on lower, fixed to circular central shaft

Anatomy of a turnstile 1/2 - Yesterday @leektown threw up a different ‘turnstile’ surprise. Out of sight, feet from the terraces, in the out of use entrance at the north end of the main stand. A dusty time capsule with two old, but different W T Ellison turnstiles. @PeterRMiles

1/2 Anatomy of a turnstile - 3 really fine older W T Ellison turnstiles discovered at @FCTrafford Shaw View ground yesterday. Re-sited in purpose built new blockwork building. And bearing the distinctive Ellison cast roundel. Believed acquired from Old Trafford Cricket ground.

2/2 Anatomy of a turnstile - Turnstiles 1 & 2 @FCTrafford - good to find consecutive serial numbers (9731 and 9732) stamped in front edge of the original brass Ellison name plates over counting devices. Beautifully preserved. #turnstiles @PeterRMiles @TonyVincenzo914

Boxing Day crowd of nearly 800 have now left Borough Park. Time to reflect upon a today's @WorkingtonAFC 3 nil win over a spirited @OfficialKAFC - very good solid team performance to end 2022. Three well-worked goals. Now lets push on Reds into 2023 to secure promotion.

Many thanks @pete_savin for your wonderful mage of the fabulous roundabout in York. Reminded me of the 2022 movie 'My Dads Christmas Date' shot in the city. A quite watchable, Britsh-made, feel-good Christmas movie, with lots of familiar places. (Available on Amazon Prime).
